REALITY Check: Are you there yet?

I know some of us must have had that "list of things to achieve before I reach the age of 30" or the likes.. Then you say, 'Oh, I need more time to fulfill them', so you extend your timeline.. The next thing you know, you're already 35 and hey, what happened to your list?

Setting goals makes a big difference in life. Goals help direct your actions. And Plans provide for the vehicle by which you can achieve those Goals. You just need to Action on them within your set timeline, otherwise, you may end up putting things aside until you soon forget about them.

Ok, I had written my wish list 2 years ago on my 30th Birthday. Hmm.. Let me revisit some of those items and see what I have accomplished so far..

2. Celebrating my birthday at Mc Donald’s or Jollibee with my little angels.. (both groups.) - Ok, I did this already 2 years ago. Happy. :)

3. Do some extreme sports like mountain climbing at Mt. Apo (the highest mountain in the Philippines) or sky diving -  I have only gone as far as Parasailing in Thailand and Zip lining at Grouse Mountain. And oh! Wall climbing recently. I guess that would be a prep for the mountain climbing. Lol.

4. Bring my Mama to Pilgrimage in Jerusalem or to Europe and get closer to the Pope - Hopefully, we will finally push through with our Marian Pilgrimage this September. It would be my greatest dream for my mom.

14. Travel to at least 3 more continents (Australia, Europe and Americas) and capture more beautiful sights -  Yay! I have only been to Asia and the Americas. I seriously thought Middle East is in another continent. Geez. I am really bad in geography.

17. Get my own Dream House with bathtub and pool and oh! My own walk in closet! - Ok, currently paying for my condo. Not yet my dream landed house though. But soon then.

23. To grow my investment portfolio. - Haha. I have only maintained minimum investments in 2 separate portfolios. That's it. Close enough.

24. Hit my target savings by the age of 35. - Uhm.. Sure, I still have 3 more years to earn and save my first Million (in Pesos). Haha.

30. Write a beautiful eulogy of myself. Leave an indelible mark on my loved ones. -  Morbid as it may sound but I guess ultimately everyone wishes to "leave peacefully" and be "home".

So with the above progress status, I therefore conclude that I am NOT there yet, still a long way to go. But I would like to believe that I am on the right track. For as  long as I do not stop dreaming and walking towards reaching those dreams, I am confident that I will get there! Eventually.

How about you, what were your crazy or ambitious goals? Are you there yet? :)
