Feeling the Bride Vibes during COVID
Planning a wedding during this COVID time is quite a challenge. With the lockdown and restrictions on gathering, couples have a harder time navigating their way through planning their dream wedding.
I also find myself sometimes getting overwhelmed with anxiety over uncertainties and the sad possibility of not having our family and loved ones around to celebrate our special day with us. And that is understandable of course, everyone's safety is most important. I just wish the situation was different but you know what keeps me going? It's the fact that I have a very hands on and supportive partner. Rob works closely with me and assures me always that we will have our intimate special day our way. Unlike before when it was easier to have friends around to help, we now mostly rely on each other for the planning and DIYs projects. I just got lucky my groom is very artistic and creative.
I also appreciate friends who reached out to offer help especially that I am someone who is shy to inconvenience someone or ask for help. As for any bride, I easily get lost with the tons of things to do on my list. And with this current situation, I tend to easily feel isolated and distant when I am feeling overwhelmed. I am super grateful for friends who still make a way to make me feel their love and support even though they won't be there with me on our wedding day.
This weekend my team prepared a little suprise bridal shower for me on my farewell party. And because this was my first time experiencing having one, of course, I got teary-eyed. Correction, I cried. LOL. It made me feel kilig.
I am already feeling more excited planning with Rob in the coming days. I am extremely blessed to have him by my side all the way. Please pray for us. Thank you.
